AMED - Sebahat Tuncel,the co-chair of the HDK’s spokeperson,said, “The women's resistance will determine the future of the Middle East. The most basic slogan of the male-dominated system is ‘First shout the women’. But our slogan must be ‘First keep alive the women’ and ‘strengthen women's solidarity’. We ask for another life not only in Kurdistan but also all over the Middle East and the World. I know that it can be possible with solidarity and the people can build a democratic system in this society with their language, identity, gender and culture.

There are women's resistance behind of the wars'

Sabahat noted that the women have more reasons to resist and succeed and she said, “ The situations of women are too terrible to verbalized in Shengal, Syria and Kurdistan. But in addition, There is a female resistance. The women who are pioneering in the revolution of Rojava and Kurdistan, also become the target of masculine male system.

‘A policy is pursued to legitimate the war’

The policies have been pursued in the West of Turkey to legitimate the war againt the Kurds., stated Sebahat and she said, “In fact, the Kurds feel alone.The silence in Turkey is because of the policy of the state towards the Kurdish people by muting their voices and not being heard them around the Turkey. The policies have been pursued not what the Kurds ask but how we can legitimate the war against the Kurds. Actually the AKP knows what the people’s demands but they are trying to hide the truth with the discussion of trenches and barricades instead the political demands of the Kurds.

‘We stand with peace and solution against the fascist policy of the State’

Sebahat said, “ The Kurdish problem is not trenches and barricades, the issue is that the demands of people like determining their own future and ask their status must be anwered. Today, women who are resisting behind of the barricades,represent a significant willpower to self-rules. We are standing with peace and solution against the fascist policy of the State. This peace must contain my language, my culture and my rights. The Constitution should not be without Kurds.

‘Women in the Middle East and the World, let’s build this life together’

Sabahat said, “The male-dominated system kills the women to punish the society. The most basic slogan of the male-dominated system is ‘First shout the women’. But our slogan must be ‘First keep alive the women’ and ‘strengthen women's solidarity’. We ask for another life not only in Kurdistan but also all over the Middle East and the World. I know that it can be possible with solidarity and the people can build a democratic system in this society with their language, identity, gender and culture. We have a call to the women's movement in Turkey. Women in the Middle East and the World, let’s build this life together by resisting together.”
