ŞIRNEX – Emine Esmer, the co-chair of Silopi Municipality and her driver have been detained by special forces.

The siege and onslaught has been imposed in Silopi district of Şırnak for 20 days. The State forces can not break the resistance of the self-rule and they are trying to force the peopleto immigrate from the district with tanks and artillery. Emine Esmer, the co-chair of Silopi Municipality,has been taken into custody this morning. Emine Esmer and her driver Cemal Yiğit were taken into custody by special forces and they were taken to Silopi Police Department. The reason of the detention has not been informed yet.
