NEWS CENTER - On January 9,2013 Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez were killed in Paris, on 3rd anniversary of Paris massacre, 3 female freedom activists were killed in Silopi.
A news got around the World when the date showed the January 9, 2013, the news of 3 women,3 Kurdish women and 3 politicians were massacred in Paris. A fire fell on Kurdistan’s heart and this fire melt the snow. Sakine Cansız,Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez who devoted their lifes in the struggle of Kurdish women's movement and the women's struggle for freedom, were bid farewell to by hundreds of thousands.The bullets which were put into Sakine, Fidan and Leyla, put into 3 women again on a cold January night.
DBP Assembly member Sêvê Demir, Silopi People's Assembly co-chair Pakize Nayır and KJA activist Fatma Uyar who took sides with the people in Silopi who have resisted for 23 days, were shot and massacred in Karşıyaka neighborhood of Silopi by fusillade. Women were about to commemorate Sakine(s) but now they will hold the actions of 'Se jinen azad'(three free women) and ‘We never forget you’ in all cities and districts. Now women will add the names of Pakize who said ‘If Botan wins, all humanity will win’ and staged a hunger strike for 68 days, Sêvê who stayed in jail for 15 years and Fatma who devoted her life in the struggle of women to the dictionary of struggle.
