WAN – 17 students including our reporter Rojda Oğuz were detained in Van. 4 students have been released after taking their testimony, Rojda and 13 students were sent to the prosecution.

The police organised raids to KYK(student dormitory) and many students houses on January 5 in Van. Our reporter Rojda Oğuz-student in Van Yüzüncü Yıl University- and 16 students were detained. Because of the secrecy order on the students’ files, the reasons of detention are still unknown. The students were in Van TEM branch for 3 days. 4 students were released after their testimony, Rojda and other 13 students were sent to the prosecution.
