REMELAN- A member of Women Economy Unit which work on forming the communal economy in Rojava Canton,Delal Afrin said, " We are working on women organize themselves in many areas such as agriculture, animal husbandry, industry, trade and construction.

Rojava women organize themselves on the basis of cooperatives to create jobs for women and to improve the women's economy in the all of Kurdistan. Women play an active role in agriculture, animal husbandry, industry, trade and construction by organising themselves. Delal Afrin - a member of Women Economy Unit- explained their work on economy to Jınha. " Economy is one of society's main stand. So the economy is an important point in the life and it is a society essential." stated Delal.

'An alternatives economy should be developed against the Modernity '

To form a communal economy, a mental study should be conducted, stressed Delal, " An alternatives economy should be developed against the modernity or we should think about what kind of economy we demand and then we should form it. We should change our way of thinking before the communal and democratic economy. The economy which has been formed until now is not a form of economy to serve society ,respond to the needs, answer to all society's questions." stated Delal.

'Women should take education to form the communal economy'

Delal said, "Women should take education to explain themselves better in the all areas. So we first created the economic committee, council and academia in the field of education in 2015." We created committees and councils in many areas but we have not able to form the canton councils yet. The canton councils slowly are organized in Kobanê. We formed 3 communal economy centers but we have not announced these centers to the public. The name of centers are "Yekitiya Star Agricultural Economy Center, Rojava Yekitiya Star Economy Center and Research Study and Research Center. We have not shared these centers with the press yet but we shared with you. We will open our centers soon." told Delal.

'Our projects for 2016'

Delal told us their projects for 2016 "We have important projects in 2016, we will form cooperatives, market and economic fields without depending on outside. We will organize some areas for bazaars and women will able to sell their products in these bazaars. We have workplaces to stitch the uniforms of the fighters of YPG and YPJ. We will give these workplaces to the service of society and we will improve ourselves in greenhouse cultivation."
