WAN - Members of the Van Peace Mothers Assembly condemned the executing of 12 youth in Van and said, "Our call to the Van people: All mothers must stand up against the massacres, we should not keep silent."

The reactions against the executing of 12 by special forces' raid on a house in Edremit district of Van on Sunday morning are rising. Members of the Van Peace Mothers Assembly condemned the execution and they called for massacres to end. Kudret Yorgun, a member of the Van Peace Mothers Assembly, said "Children, youth, soldiers and police have been massacred, our hearts are breaking. That's enough. End the massacres."

Kudred addressed Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, his wife Emine Erdoğan and the Prime Minister, " You have children. stop sending the people's children to war, send your children. Prime minister, we are not pro-war. We ask for peace and a solution. Give up hurting mothers. We ask for support from Turks. We ask for the war to stop. The Kurds do not want land or houses, they want their rights and identity."

Nezahat Güra, another member of the Van Peace Mothers Council, said, "As mothers, we don't want police, soldiers and guerillas being killed. I call all Turkish and Kurdish mothers to not be silent against the massacre and savagery. They should end the savagery and massacres."
