Another citizen killed in Cizre

ŞIRNEX – A young man in the town of Cizre, where state attacks have intensified, has died. Meanwhile, four children wounded early yesterday are in critical condition.
For 33 days, the Turkish state has maintained a 24-hour curfew in the town of Cizre. As the conditions of martial law continue, a young man named Yakup Isırgan has died in the Cudi neighborhood. Police and soldiers wounded Yakup with gunfire from an armored vehicle. As local citizens attempted to take Yakup to the hospital, state forces attacked again.
Yakup lost his life due to multiple bullet wounds. Citizens have not been able to evacuate Yakup’s body due to the ongoing attacks; he is being held in the neighborhood. Yakup was the 56th casualty of the blockade on Cizre.
In the Nur neighborhood, the body of Cizre resident Abdulselam Yılmaz, killed near his house, was moved to the Cizre State Hospital.
Meanwhile, the four children wounded yesterday remain in critical condition in the Cizre State Hospital. Büşra (10), Yusuf (12) and Dilan (8) were wounded when heavy artillery struck a house in the Dağkapı neighborhood, while a 12-year-old girl was wounded in the Yafes neighborhood.
