Feminist activists call Sêvê, friends ‘real feminists’

İSTANBUL –Feminist activists have sent their condolences to the women’s organization KJA after activists Sêvê Demir, Pakize Nayır and Fatma Uyar were slain in Silopi.
Feminist women around the world continue to send their condolences to the KJA for the three women politician Sêvê Demir, Pakize Nayır and Fatma Uyar who were slain in Silopi on January 4, 2016.
The World March of Women began its 4th International Action in the Nusaybin district of Mardin on March 8, 2015. Women in the whole world participated in the march, which crossed the cities of Kurdistan, Turkey and subsequently many countries in the world.
Feminist women have sent a message expressing the depth of their sorrow upon receiving the news that Sevê Demir and her friends were slain after having organized the Nusaybin kickoff activities for the World March of Women and the European Feminist Caravan last year. The feminist women sent a message of condolence to the KJA.
“Their struggle for their honorable cause shows they were real feminists. We salute all women who bravely struggle for the freedom of the Kurdish people and for women's liberation. We promise to stay faithful to the legacy of the women slain and to continue their struggle from where they left off. We send our condolences to the KJA and all Kurdish people on behalf of the World March of Women,” read the statement.
