ŞIRNEX – As the Turkish state continues a ruinous assault on the town of Cizre, two more residents have been slain.

In the town of Cizre, Turkish state forces have launched an intensive mortar assault as of this morning, targeting the town center from positions in surrounding villages. Fires have broken out across the city in homes not left totally destroyed by the bombardment.

Today’s mortar assault has left two children (Mahsum İcuz and İdris Üstün) wounded and killed two individuals, a man named Mehmet Kaplan in the Cudi neighborhood and an unidentified person in the Nur neighborhood.

Sources report there may be other casualties in the neighborhoods under mortar assault.
