ADANA - Mehmet Şahin (78) and Emame Şahin (75) were found executed in their home in Cizre. They would not leave their home despite their age. The two elderly parents said, "We can't leave behind our children who resist in our land."

The family of Mehmet Şahin (78) and Emame Şahin (75) hadn't received any news from them for four days. They were found executed in their house, which is located in the Cudi neighborhood of the Cizre district of Şırnak. Their daughter Hatice Acar (41 ) lives in the Seyhan district of Adana. She spoke to JINHA about her parents.

"Erdoğan executed my father and mother. They didn't harm anyone. Did they have weapons, tanks or bombs? How could you kill two elderly people?" said Hatice. "They talk about Islam. My father and mother read the Quran day and night. You killed them. You can't be Muslim, you are murderers. These lands are ours. You kick us out of our lands. We have been here for centuries. You can't annihilate us. We will bring peace to these lands."

Another daughter of Mehmet and Emane, Hediye Kulja (55), told us that her parents didn't want to leave their lands. They told her that they would not leave their lands while their children fought there. "The occupiers should leave. If we die, we will die on our lands. If we die, we will die with our own honor, our dignity," said Hediye's parents.
