MÊRDÎN - Rojin Durmaz, the HDP Derik co-chair, and 12 people have been taken into custody, including the HDP and DBP district managers as well as members of the city council, during house raids this morning.

Special forces and military police raided many houses in the Derik district of Mardin early this morning. They entered the houses by breaking down doors. Rojin Durmaz, the HDP Derik co-chair; Ersin Bedirhanoğlu and Sudan Erol, the HDP district managers; Cengiz Temelli, Mahmut Aktaş, Tahir Adal and Halit Kayan, members of the city council; as well as municipal employees Salih Aydın, Şeyhmus Ata, Vezir Yaşar, Sabri Kömürcü, Özlem Bahçeci and M. Ali Bahçeci have been taken into custody during house raids this morning.

13 people are being held in the Derik police station and district Gendarmerie Headquarters.
