NEWS CENTER – The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has issued its third injunction in recent days regarding Turkish state forces’ denial of medical care to citizens of Cizre. This injunction calls for wounded man Servet Altun to receive treatment.
As Turkish state forces continue to prevent ambulances and medical care from accessing the wounded in the besieged town of Cizre, the ECHR has issued a third injunction on the practice.
On Monday, the ECHR issued an injunction in the case of 16-year-old Hüseyin Paksoy, wounded by state forces in Cizre and not being allowed access to an ambulance. Soon after the decision was issued, Hüseyin passed away. Yesterday afternoon, the ECHR accepted a similar application made for wounded man Orhan Tunç.
The court has issued a third injunction in the case of Servet Altun.
Servet was wounded on Monday night. He is currently in a Cizre home, as the intense attacks prevent any medical professionals from reaching him.
