DÊRIK - Reacting to state and AKP’s massacre policy against Kurdish, the women of Dêrik, Rojava stated that women in North Kurdistan are resisting with their ululations against tanks and artillery. “Women’s resistance will defeat state’s oppression,” said the women.

A reaction against the war concept in North Kurdistan came from women who live in the city of Dêrik in Cizîr Canton.

One of the women, Lema Abdullah, said women’s willpower would not be broken by the attacks.

“The women in North Kurdistan are resisting against the AKP’s massacre policy and the tanks and artillery with their ululations. Women’s resistance will defeat the state’s oppression,” said Lema.

“Women are well known for their revolts throughout history,” said Lema. “Women are the pioneers against the savage attacks in Rojava. They are afraid of women’s power, so they are attacking women.

“They cannot annihilate women by killing them. The Turkish state kills all people without looking at whether they are women, children or elderly. As mothers, we believe that the people in North Kurdistan will win just like the people in the Kobanê resistance did,” said Lema.

Lema called on all women around the world.

“All women in the world must revolt and raise their voices against the massacres,” said Lema.

“A revolution in which women don’t take part cannot succeed,” said Dêrik resident Nezha Şelal. “Therefore, women need to support their children in resistance. As women, we are going to escalate our struggle and stand behind the people of North Kurdistan. Borders can never separate us.”
