ŞIRNEX - Neighborhoods of the Cizre district of Şırnak continue to be incessantly shelled on the 40th day of the people's resistance. Ferhat Encu, HDP MP, tried to enter the blockaded city. However, he was prevented.

For 40 days,the people have maintained a resistance against the attacks in Cizre. Shelling has been ongoing against the Cudi and Nur neighborhoods of Cizre since last night. Tanks have been deployed on the hills of Caferi Sadık and Çarkendal and the Kobane and Arin Mirxan roads. The tanks are firing on the Cudi and Sur neighborhoods. Many houses have been demolished and smoke is rising from the neighborhoods due to artillery fire. Meanwhile, soldiers are forcibly evicting the people in house raids in the Dağkapı and Alibey neighborhoods.

Ferhat Encu, HDP MP, and those with him came from the Silopi district of Şırnak and tried to enter the district this morning. Police and soldiers didn't allow them to enter the district and tried to shove them away. The group was also prevented from returning to Silopi. They departed to Şırnak due to the police opposition.
