NEWS CENTER - Prisoners from the PAJK and PKK announced that they will stage a hunger strike in Turkish jails between January 26 and 28 to protest the isolation of the PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and state's siege in Kurdistan.

Kajîn Perî and Deniz Kaya made a statement on behalf of the PAJK and PKK prisoners. "They push Kurds to the limit by conducting massacre and annihilation policies and aggravating the isolation of our leader. They transfered two of our friends from Imralı Island to Silivri Prison without giving any information about this. They have not allowed their lawyers and families talk to them for weeks. This attitude is a clear and dangerous threat against the Kurdish people and our movement. Our leadership is our honor and will for freedom. He is our reason for life and death, war and peace," Deniz said in the statement.

The PAJK and PKK prisoners will be on hunger strike between January 26 and 28. The statement also said, "Our actions will be continued unless the state ends its fascist policies."
