ELEZÎZ - Police and soldiers raided Karakoçan Municipality in Elazığ. 11 people have been taken into custody, including co-mayors Cennet Ayık and Burhan Kocaman.

Cennet Ayık and Burhan Kocaman, the co-mayors of the Karakoçan Municipality in Elazığ, elected from Democratic Regions Party (DBP) in a recent election, and nine people have been taken into custody during a police raid on the Mucipality for alleged "contract rigging" in municipal bidding. The co-mayors and nine people were sent to Elazığ.
