ŞENGAL - Women who take shelter in Shengal Mountain after gangs attacks on Shengal, found an assembly. They are begining to have Kurdish language training. As they are improving their self-defense, they also take Kurdish language training. The women also want to improve themself in numerous fields such as politics, art, work, philosophy and economy.
Êzidî women who had to take shelter in Shengal Mountain after Daesh attacks on Shengal, are improving their self-defense and also they are rebuilding their life. Women are organizing under the name of Shengal Women Assembly. They are having Kurdish language training in the assembly. Buharîn Amara, the teacher of Kurdish language, said, "We wanted to begin a Kurdish language training for women. Our training is based on advancing women's language and culture. Then women teach the language to their children. In this way, the children learn their history and culture.
"Rêber Apo (leader of the PKK) wants all Kurdish women learn Kurdish language. We began Kurdish language training today. We will continue the training till the end. All the women who are participating in this training are confident. Our goal is participation of all Êzidî women in this training."
Canê Haydar, one of Êzidî women participating in training, said that women should organize themselves in numerous fields. "Women must improve themself in numerous fields such as politics, art, work, philosophy and economy. All these properties are already inhere of women. Women are the meaning of life. Language is very important for all peoples. As Kurds, we must protect our language in order to keep our culture. We need to go through many changes until we become free. For this, every woman should have education."
