14 volunteer health care workers wait to enter Cizre

ŞIRNEX - As HDP MPs have maintained the hunger strike in front of Ministry of the Interior office to evacuate wounded in Cizre, 14 volunteer health care workers are waiting in Mardin to go to the city and open humanitarian corridors for wounded.

For nine days, wounded Cizre residents have been trapped in a basement. All attempts to evacuate the wounded and dead bodies have remained inconclusive. The HDP MPs, who have maintained the hunger strike in front of Minister of the Interior office, made a statement last night. They drew attention to the human tragedy lived in a basement in Cizre for eight days.

Meanwhile, Turkish Medical Association (TTB) and Health Workers' Union (SES) become a part of evacuation of wounded. 14 health care workers, nine doctors, four nurses and an ambulance driver, have volunteered to open a humanitarian corridors for wounded. 14 volunteer health care workers infomed the Ministry through HDP MPS that they want to go to Cizre to save the wounded in the basement. They went to Mardin. The Ministry has not answered the demand of healty care workers. The healty care workers who are waiting the Ministry answer in the Midyat district of Mardin. They said that if the Ministry doesn't give any answer, they are intent on going to Cizre through their own means to save the wounded.
