ŞIRNEX - For nine days, wounded in Cizre residents have been trapped in a basement. Cizre women went to evacuate the wounded from the basement by carring white flags. Women said, "We will evacuate the wounded even if they kill us."

Nine days ago, 28 were left wounded as Turkish state forces continued brutal martial law attacks on the town of Cizre. The group took refuge in a basement, which came under state bombardment as tanks and police prevent ambulances from reaching the wounded and dead bodies in the basement. Ambulances have attempted for many time to reach the building. However they have been stopped by state forces. 14 volunteer healthcare workers departed from Mardin to enter the city but they were stopped by state forces in the İdil district of Mardin. They are trying to enter Cizre over Nusaybin now. Meanwhile, 11 women tried to go to building to evacuate the wounded in basement. However, state forces took them into custody. Just before, they began to walk, we talked to them.

Kasım Yana is one of the wounded in the basement. His mother Gule Yana said, "They open fire on the people and ambulances. We will go to evacuate our children even if they kill us."

Ayşe Güven, one of the women, said, " We haven't received any news from the wounded in the basement for hours. Our children are wounded now. We have to save our children. They open fire on the people, ambulances and representatives while they try to go to the basement to evacuate the wounded. They send them to evacuate the wounded then they open fire on them to deceive the public opinion. This State is a fascist state. The wounded never remain in the street in any country. My child is not between the wounded in the basement, but I cannot stand to hear cries for water."
