AMED - Martial law under the name of "curfews" has been imposed in 11 neighborhoods of Sur for more than two months. It was spread to whole Sur neighborhoods yesterday night. The Sur Governorship made a statement and lifted the "curfew" in nine neighborhoods.

For 64 days, a blockade and martial law have been imposed in 11 neighborhoods of the Sur district of Diyarbakır. The Sur Governorship made a statement and declared "curfew" in four more neighborhoods. Thus "curfew" spread to whole neighborhoods of the district. However, The Sur Governorship made a statement again in the morning and they lifted "curfew" in the nine neighborhoods in Sur. The statement reads ; "We have lifted the curfew in Abdaldede, Alipaşa, Lalebey, Süleyman Nazif, Ziya Gökalp Camii Kebir, Camii Nebi, İskenderpaşa and Melikahmet neighborhoods in Sur on February 03, 2016 starting at10:00 a.m."

Still six neighborhoods in Sur have been under the martial law under the name of "curfew" for 64 days.
