Actions in Diyarbakır to protest the execution of wounded in Cizre

AMED – Following the news that wounded in Cizre basement were executed, actions began in Kurdistan and many cities in Europe to protest the execution of wounded.

A three day actions will be held in Kurdistan upon a call of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Free Women's Congress (KJA), Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Foundation of the Federation of Democratic Youth Unions (DEM-GENÇ) and NGO. Life will be stopped in Diyarbakır within the scope of a three day action plan to protest the execution of wounded in Cizre basements.

In the besieged town of Cizre in Şırnak province, Turkish state forces have for weeks launched all-out assaults on two separate buildings in the town where the wounded have taken refuge in basements.

Yesterday evening, Turkish state news channel TRT claimed that state forces conducted an operation on the basement where wounded citizens are trapped in the town of Cizre, killing nearly 60 people. Police have locked down the town’s hospital this morning and have begun bringing in dead bodies.

In the morning, soldiers and state forces took two ambulances of Cizre Municipality.

Kamuran Yüksek,co-president of DBP,confirms that more than 30 dead bodies were put in the ambulances of Municipality.
