Van women: Children executed in Cizre were our children

WAN - People's anger rises in Kurdistan and Turkey after the news of massacre of more than 30 citizens in Cizre spread. Van women said, "Children who were executed in Cizre, were also our children.' Then they called on all people to raise their voice and rise up against the massacres.

After the news of execution of more than 30 people in Cizre basement was released by Turkish media, the reaction of Kurdistan and Turkey people are rising against the massacre. Women who live in the Karşıyaka neighborhood of İpekyolu, Van province, also expressed their reaction against the massacre. Ümran Kurt, one of the women, condemned the silence which caused the massacre. She said, "The AKP is carrying out a massacre against Kurds. Why do the Kurdish MPs in the AKP keep silent against this massacre? They must revolt. They must give us their voice to end this massacre. I condemn the massacre in Cizre basement. I condemn all people in the world who keep silent against this massacre. Everyone keeps silent. Enough. Everyone must do something."

Nafiye Öztunç, another women, said, "The people in Cizre and Nusaybin aren't alone. We are with them. Soldiers and state forces are carrying a massacre by killing civilians with tanks and artillery at their own sweet will. We, as Kurds, are resisting to have our freedom and identity. We are mothers. Our hearts hurt so bad whenever we see a massacre. We cannot hear, see and talk due to this massacre."

Hatice Duman demanded the peace and she said, "We lost many friends in Cizre massacre. These kinds of massacres need to not happen. They need to sit at the table and the peace need to be. We, as mothers, want to peace by ending the massacres, war and curfews."
