Sur resistance continues for 70 days

AMED - For 70 days, the people's resistance have continued in the Sur district. Gazi Avenue of Sur has been added to 24-hour curfew again.

As martial law, under the name of "curfew" has been continued in the Sur district of Diyarbakır for 70 days, the people's resistance has continued as well. The 24-hour curfew has been imposed in the Savaş, Cemal Yılmaz, Dabanoğlu, Cevat Paşa, Hasırlı and Fatih Paşa neighborhood for 70 days. Gazi Avenue was also added to "curfew" area last night. Sur Governorship announced that they declared "curfew" in Gazi Avenue from entrance of Çiftehan to exit of Mardin Gate. 22 people have been killed up to the present in the district.

Meanwhile, the dead bodies of Rozerin Çukur, Ramazan Öğüt, Hakan Aslan, Mahmut Oruç, Gündüz Akmeşe, Turgay Girçek and Vedat Bilen haven't been retrieved from the district yet. Their families have resisted in Sümerpark for days to retrieve their children's bodies.
