SILEMANÎ - Women who live in Federal Kurdistan Region condemned the massacres in the Cizre district of Şırnak which was carried out by Turkish State. The women drew attention to the silence of the international forces by saying, "If such a massacre had taken place in another country, a state of emergeny was declared now."

Southern Kurdistan women evaluated the AKP and its palace's destruction policies towards the Kurds and the resistance against these policies in North Kurdistan. The women criticized the silence against the massacres. Moreover, the women called on all youth and women to not be silent against the massacres.

Ronak Mecîd, co-chair of the City Council of Free Society Movement in Sulaymaniyah, condemned the massacres in Cizre. "The wounded in the basements called for aid under all over the world and Kurdish people's eyes for days. Meanwhile, they were under the attacks of the AKP fascist forces. We witnessed the killing of these people. They were killed cruelly. This savagery has passed in human history as a wound never be treated," said Ronak.

Tara Ali, an academic, said, "All of us are wounded. We have to criticize ourselves before criticizing international forces. Especially, Southern Kurdistan people have turned their back on North Kurdistan's resistance. We cannot keep silent while our people need our support."

Stating that Kurdish women have been targetted by Turkish State, Tara said, "Women have been targetted intentionally. Because, women play an important role in the movement of freedom."

Ronak Bomba, another academic in Southern Kurdistan, said, "We are dealing with the problems of the power and management here, while our people are resisting for their life in North. How long will we stay in silence while our brothers and sisters are being killed?"
