39 corpses retrieved from Cizre’s ‘basements of savagery’

ŞIRNEX – 26 corpses were retrieved from a basement located on Bostancı Street in the Cudi neighborhood was the first to come under attack. The wounded residents waited to be evacuated from the basement for 19 days. According the reports, all corpses were burned. 13 corpses were retrieved from other building. Total 39 corpses were taken to hospital.

A basement located on Bostancı Street in the Cudi neighborhood was the first to come under attack. 31 people had taken refuge in the Bostancı Street house when it was targeted by tank fire on January 23. 15 of them were alive and waited to be evacuated to hospital. 26 dead bodies were retrieved from the basement today. So far, 31 dead bodies have been retrieved from the basement. According to reports, 13 dead bodies were retrieved from a building or buildings in Cizre. 39 dead bodies were taken to Cizre State Hospital by the ambulances of Cizre Municipality.

There were 139 wounded people in the ‘basements of savagery’. The death toll rises to 110 in three basements. There is no news from 28 wounded people.
