'Siege must be lifted in Sur to avoid a massacre'

AMED - Families whose children were killed in the Sur district of Diyarbakır, have continued a vigil to retrieve their children's bodies from the district for 26 days.

Eight families began a vigil in Diyarbakır gren space Sümerpark to retrieve their children's bodies who were killed in the Sur. The vigil has been continued for 26 days. Rozerin Çukur (17), Ramazan Öğüt (16), Gündüz Akmeşe (28), Turgay Girçek (19), Mahmut Oruç (23), Morgül (14), Velat Bilen (21) and Erhan Keskin (18) were killed in Sur by state forces. Their families have been denied access to their children's bodies. Families want the siege and assault be lifted in the district to avoid a massacre.
