AMED- The HDP MP Feleknas Uca, co-chair of Diyarbakır HDP Office, Gülşen Özer, and five people from the European Parliament went to Sur to evacuate the wounded whose trapped in several basements in the Sur district of Diyarbakır. Six wounded, including three women was evacuated in front of Surp Giragos Armenian Church to hospital by ambulances.
For 80 days, state forces attacks have continued in the Sur district of Diyarbakır. The attacks have been intensified for several days. Approximately 200 people, including babies, elderly people, women and wounded have been trapped in several basements in the town. Five people from the European Parliament came to Diyarbakır to evacuate the people. Five people and the HDP MPs called the Diyarbakır Governor. However, they couldn't get a response from the Governor. Thereupon, a delegation went to the Diyarbakır Governorship Office. The HDP MPs Feleknas Uca and Sibel Yiğitalp, Gülşen Özer, co-chair of Diyarbakır HDP Office; co-mayors of Diyarbakır Municipality, Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı; Ali Şimşek, co-chair of the DBP Diyarbakır Office, Ömer Önen, co-chair of the HDP; Kati Piri, the EP Foreign Affairs Committee rapporteur in Turkey, Knut Fleckenstein, chair of the group of the Social Democratic group, Richard Haiott, coordinator of the Foreign Relations Committee and Baronnes Jan Royall, the chairperson of Socialist Party joined the delegation. They met with the Governor of Diyarbakır. After the meeting, they were allowed to enter to Sur and evacuated the wounded until 17:00. Six wounded,including three women were evacuated to hospital. One of them was Fatma Ateş who wounded by martar fire in Sur. However, she was seriously wounded and she couldn't be saved. She passed away in hospital.
