Cizre women wait to return

ŞIRNEX - State forces have tried to displace tens of thousand of people in Cizre with attacks. However, the people are waiting in villages and cities around Cizre to return their homes. More than five thousand citizens, among the displaced, have stayed in the Kumçatı village. "No one leave their lands. No one rejoices in vain." said co-cahir of DBP in Kumçatı, Asya Durak who is hosting these citizens.

The state has planning to replace 300 thousand citizens from Cizre in its war concept under the name "sedimentation plan". The state has commited war crime in Cizre and Silopi and forced citizens to leave their homes. However, the citizens don't move to Western cities of Turkey. They just moved to villages and cities around Cizre and Silopi to return their home as blockade under the name "curfew" will be lifted. They are waiting in the Uludere, Beytüşşebap, Güçlükonak, Kumçatı and Kasrik towns and villages around Cizre and Silopi. More than %90 citizens in Silopi who were forced to leave their homes, already returned to their homes. Meanwhile, Cizre people have made their preparations to return their homes. Cizre women said, "If they demolish our homes, we will rebuild them. We will never leave ou homes."

Co-chair of DBP in Kumçatı, Asya Durak stated that Kumçatı people are hosting Cizre people. "Displaced women say that they will never move to Turkey's metropolises cities and they will return to their lands. We, as organization of the town, are trying to do our best for the replaced people."

Asya stated that Cizre wrote a new story of resistance in Kurdistan's history. "They want to annihilate our identities by replacing us. Maybe, we paid a high price, but we never surrender. We will protect our people and lands." said Asya.
