Hülya Aksoy sent off with women's slogans

MÊRDÎN - Hülya Aksoy was slain in Cizre basements which are known as "basements of savagery". She was mistakenly buried in Karayazı due to confusion about the identities of hers and another woman's bodies. People bid farewell to Hülya in her town Dargeçit. People buried her with slogans and anthems despite state forces's attacks on them.

Hülya Aksoy ( le nom de guerre Nujiyan) who was slain in Cizre basements, was mistakenly buried in the Karayazı district of Erzurum due to confusion about the identities of hers and Derya Koç, former co-chair of the HDP in Milas, was also slain in Cizre basements. Hülya's body was taken to Mardin's district Dargeçit. Ali Atalan, the HDP Mardin MP, the administrators of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) the Mesopotamia Association of Assistance and Solidarity for Families with Lost Relatives (MEYA-DER) and hundreds of people attended the funeral.

State forces used tear gas and water cannons to attack the people who attended the funeral. However, the people buried Hülya Aksoy with slogans and anthems despite state forces attacks. People shouted slogans such as, "Martyrs are immortal", "Nujiyan comrade is immortal", "Long live the resistance of Cizre", "Won't be unavenged", "Long live the resistance Kerboran".
