ŞIRNEX - Women met in the land of Sevê, Pakize and Fatma and attended the rally. DBP Assembly member Sêvê Demir, Silopi People's Assembly co-chair Pakize Nayır and KJA activist Fatma Uyar were murdered by Turkish forces in Şırnak's Silopi district on January 5. Women souted the slogan of "Woman, life, freedom" in the rally.

Women to begin March 8 International Women's Day, for 2016 celebrations in the Silopi district of Şırnak with the slogan "Women resist for their leader and their freedom." ("Leader" refers to jailed PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.) Women from Kurdistan and Turkey gathered in Silopi to commemorate and salute the resistance of 3 Kurdish politician women, DBP Assembly member Sêvê Demir, Silopi People's Assembly co-chair Pakize Nayır and KJA activist Fatma Uyar who were murdered by Turkish forces in Şırnak's Silopi district on January 5. Women gathered in Silopi and began the rally despite obstructions. Women shouted the slogan "Woman, life, freedom". Figen Yüksekdağ, co-chair of the HDP, is giving a speech now.
