ADANA - Many women have lost their children and relatives to the policies of war that those from Kenan Evren to Tayyip Erdoğan have imposed on Kurds. Women who live in Adana and lost their children and relatives, expressed their anger by saying, " You cannot scare Kurds with massacre. On the contrary, you increase our grounds for struggle. The state and the AKP will answer for this sooner or later."

The anger at the policies of war which have been imposed in the cities of North Kurdistan, is increasing. Kurds resisted against the policies of war which was imposed on them in 1990s. And today, they have resisted against the state's tanks and bombs in areas of self-government. Kurdish women who live in Adana, lost their children and relatives due to the policies of war many years ago.The women stated that the Kurds cannot be annihilated with the policies of massacre.

Hüsna Tekin (66) is one of the women who lost their relatives. Hüsna lost her child and many nephews and nieces in 1990s. Hüsna reached the policies of war by saying, "We mothers always hoped for peace in this country. We were so heartbroken. We always struggled so that other mothers would not feel the same. We call them as brothers and sisters. But they call us as "terrorist". They have killed the Kurds under the name of curfew. They burned young people in the basements. Enough, wake up. They have burned our children to death."

Yıldız Tekin (45) also lost her brother and nephew like Hüsna due to the policies of massacre in 1990s. "Whenever we say that nobody should die, we die and we are killed. We have called for the mothers of soldiers and police many time to prevent the death. However, they haven't heard us. Our people bodies have been exhibited in the streets and we have been killed. We know these policies from the past. We resisted before and we have continued to resist." said Yıldız.

Zeynep Taşdelen (50) lost her child. Zeynep pointed out that the policies of massacre have been reactivated in the North Kurdistan. Zeynep said, "On behalf of all the families of martyrs, I say: I vehemently condemn that the state burned people to death in the basements of Cizre. You cannot scare Kurds with massacre. On the contrary, you increase our grounds for struggle. The state and the AKP will answer for this sooner or later."
