ŞIRNEX - Emine Esmer, the co-chair of Silopi Municipality and her driver Cemal Yiğit were taken into custody.

State forces went to Silopi Municipality in the morning. They took Emine Esmer, the co-chair of Silopi Municipality and her driver Cemal Yiğit into custody. Emine and Cemal were taken to Police Station by armored vehicles.

Emine Esmer and her driver Cemal Yiğit had been taken into custody on February 23, on charges of being a "member of an illegal organization" and "misconduct in a public office". Then they had been released.
