ŞIRNEX - A war began in many cities in Kurdistan under the name of "curfew". Women have been targeted by state forces in this war. State forces wrote their masculinity on the walls of Cizre and Silvan. They killed women and they put women's naked bodies on display.

Curfew was declared as half-day-long curfew on the 80th day of 24-hour curfew in Cizre on March 1. Witnessing one of the largest massacres in human history, Cizre people resisted for 80 days against the siege and attacks. Three days were passed. Writing its resistance in the history, Cizre is healling its wounds. The people who were forced to leave, are slowly returning to their homes. There are traces of clashes in the Sur, Yafes, Nur and Cudi neighborhoods. The walls are covered with gory graffitis by state forces

The state thought that they would take revenge on resistance women by exhibiting their bodies. Almost every wall of Cizre are covered with gendered messages. Among the graffitis on the walls; "We told you that we would show the power of the Turkish", "Alperan is in Cizre", "Girls, we are here", "Where are you … girls".

The grafitis are on almost all walls of Cizre. A Cizre woman named Gurbet Çoşkun said, "They demolished our homes. They wrote grafitis on the walls. We are not Turkish. We are Kurdish. We were forced to leave our homes."
