Xelat looks for his sketchbook among the ruins

ŞIRNEX - Eight-year-old Xelat returned to his demolished and burned home in Cizre. He showed us the sketchbook in which he drew his dreams. "Look, I drew Mem and Zîn," said Xelat, referring to the protagonists of the Kurdish epic poem. "They shot my sketchbook too."
The people of Cizre have returned to their homes, demolished under the genocidal attacks of the state. The people found everything destroyed. Eight-year-old Xelat also returned to his home in the Cudi neighborhood of Cizre. He looked for his sketchbook among the ruins.
Xelat looked for his sketchbook in the destroyed rooms. He finally found it in one room. However, there is a bullet mark on the sketchbook. Xelat said, "They even shot my sketchbook. Look, I drew Mem û Zîn."
Xelat also drew homes, green gardens and flowers. "I will draw again the homes in my dreams." said Xelat.
