SHENGAL - Shengal women gathered in Shengal's mountains for March 8, International Women's Day. Women organized a march and wished a happy March 8, International Women's Day to all women around the world.

Women gathered in Shengal's mountains in Federal Kurdistan Region for March 8, International Women's Day. Êzidî women, Free Women Units of Star (YJA-STAR) and Shengal Women Units (YJŞ) fighters participate in the march. Women shouted the slogans such as "Women, life, freedom", "Long live, leader Apo,"(refer to Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the PKK), "Long live, the resistance of women". Women also carried the banners "Resistance of Shengal Women" and "We are Êzidî women, we follow the freedom".

Women kept minute of silence for the women who lost their life in the struggle of democracy. The celebration is still continuing.
