ŞIRNEX - "Cizre still resists, its resistance will continue with solidarity," said Fidan Kanlıbaş, manager of Rojava Association, said, "All people are working to rebuild the Cizre. All people in Kurdistan, Turkey and all around the world should support to rebuild the town."

Hundrends of citizens were killed during the state genocide attacks which continued for 79 days in the Cizre district of Şırnak. According to reports, thousands of homes have been completely demolished. Cizre people are healling their wounds with solidarity, "Everyone can do something to rebuild the town," said the citizens in the town. As they are rebuilding their homes, they also discuss what they can do with solidarity.

Rojava Solidarity and Aid Association is founded to rebuild Kobanê. The Association began to provide support in Cizre. "Cizre still resists," said Fidan Kanlıbaş, manager of Rojava Association, and called on everyone to be in solidarity with Cizre's people. Fidan stated that they came to Cizre after the ban was lifted in the town. "A commission was set up by people from Municipality to NGO's. We are working here as association to help the people.

"Four neighborhoods have been demolished, particularly in Cudi and Sur neighborhoods. The cost of damage has been assessed. After the damage assessment, we will start to repair the town."

Fidan said that the people are continuing to live in demolished homes in Cizre, "The families who left the town, returned to their homes. They stay in another place at nights, but they return to their homes in the daytime. There aren't electricity and water in the homes. Many people were killed in Cizre. People who come to Cizre from other cities, feel sorry. However, the Cizre women said, "We just wish our friends had been alive now. The destroyed homes are not important for us." Women focus on social needs not individual needs. They ask us what they can do."

Fidan stated that state forces have blocked their works. "State forces have stopped the Municipality official vehicles and our aid trucks to distribute the foods."

Fidan called on all people in Kurdistan, Turkey and around the world to support Cizre's people.
