EFRÎN - Rojava women who have organized themselves in every area of life against the male-dominated mentality, offer an equal and free life model to whole world. Women's Public Security of Efrîn Canton has continued to defend women and provide security of the town.

Rojava women, who have fighting for living of women and men on an equal basis, have building the model of the democratic life step by step. On the one hand, women have built a new life. On the other hand, they have strengthened their self-defense against the attacks. Narîn Mihemed, one of the managements of the Research Department of Women's Public Security of Efrîn Canton stated that the Women's Public Security of Efrîn Canton was founded on May, 2013. The team was begun with 10 women. These number have rised to 170 women. There are Kurdish, Arap, Êzidî, Assyrian and Turkmen women in the team. They have strengthed their organization day by day.

Narîn said that the Women's Public Security was formed in very difficult circumstances. "Three years ago, we began to work with 10 women. But, we have strengthened day by day. As Women's Public Security of Efrîn Canton, we solved more than 200 promblems in six months. These problems were about sexual abuse, family problems, murder and drug trafficking. We explored these issues and solved all of them. We have carried out the laws of autonomous administrations. We send the social problems to the reconciliation committees in the commune, because, we want to solve these problems in a social way.

"Women have been killed by their husbands or families in the name of "honor". We have endeavoured to put the male-dominated mentality away. Meanwhile, the drug traffic is done in the canton. We have worked to end the drug traffic. I call on all women; let's join the works and take the responsibility. The male-dominated mentality will be changed by women's struggle. Women must raise their organization by participating in every area of life."
