Emine stated that Iraqi Leader Saddam Hussain carried out a genocidal massacre against the Kurds in 1988. “We condemn the Halabja massacre in which thousands people were killed. The people in Halabja had a peaceful life. What was the crime of vulnerable people? The fascist dictatorship state wanted to annihilate the Kurds.”

Emine stated that they are facing with such a massacre in Rojava Kurdistan. “Massacre policies have been carried out in Rojava and North Kurdistan. The Kurds resisted against such massacres in the past and they have continued to resist. Our only aim is to live freely on our own lands even if we lose many our people every day. This is our legitimate right. The massacres will never discourage us. Today, the Kurds are fighting against sovereign powers in four parts of Kurdistan. All powers who carried out massacres against the Kurds. But, the Kurds’ resistance has continued. So, the kurds will win.”

Emine pointed out that the revolution which began in 2004 in Kurdistan’s Rojava is continuation of Qamişlo Revolution. “All Syrian people revolted against the dirty politics which carried out towards the Kurds. Kurds put the revolution in front of them until they reach the success, their goals and objectives. The Kurds organized themselves politically, militarily and socially. We declared Democratic autonomy system. This system is not only for the Kurds, it is also for the all people in Syria. We have projects to maintain an equal living with people of different ethnic in Syria. We are happy because we are taking the results of the revolution.”

Emine said, “Women who resist in Rojava and North Kurdistan, are the biggest target. Yes, we pay a big price, but we have no way except resist for a free future. Women must raise and resist against the male-dominated system all around the world. We will continue to resist until we get our rights.”
