Hundrends of people were killed during 24-hour curfew which continued in the Cizre district of Şırnak for 79 days. Unborn babies were killed in the demolisted town. The pregnant women had a miscarriage. Sarya Kabak gave birth to a baby girl during the 24-hour curfew in the town. She lost her new born baby without giving her a name. Sarya was at home in the Nur neighborhood of Cizre when 24-hour curfew was declared. She gave birth to a baby on the 10th day of curfew.
Sarya went to doctor before the ban (curfew), "The doctor told me that I would give birth to in two weeks. I gave birth to a baby three weeks later. I was called to straw at night. We called for ambulance. We didn't want to go hospital with our own car because, police wouldn't let us. We called for ambulance again. Then the ambulance came to our home. I had given birth to my baby at home before ambulance came. After the birth, I looked her to control if she breathes. Then, I realized that she didn't cry. My uncle took her to hospital with ambulance. He called me in the morning and told me that my baby died. My baby's body is still in hospital. I sued the hospital. However, they still don't give my baby's body. I don't know what they did to my baby.
"The hospital staff told me that they couldn't give my baby to me without "permission of district governor". They told me that don't come here until we call you. My baby died because of them. There wasn't electricity, water and the town was under siege. They didn't send ambulance under the pretext of ban. If ambulance had came early, my baby would be alive now.
"I wanted to give birth to a baby girl. My previous children are sons. This baby was a girl. That's why I feel so sorry. I have pain. Even my baby hadn't a name. She died without a name. They killed our children and people. What did we do them? They have arrested and killed us. They have bombed our town. No one has experienced what we have in Cizre. When we left our home, it was winter. After three months, we returned to our home. Our homes were burned. Our stuffs were stolen. Even they stole the clothes of babies."
