İSTANBUL -Nine lawyers from the Libertarian Lawyers' Association (ÖHD) were taken into custody two days ago. The Libertarian Lawyers' Association (ÖHD) Istanbul co-chair Banu Güveren talked about the detention of the lawyers. "This is continuation of political genocidal operations. That is an operation to silence the lawyers, others and opponent." said Banu.

The siege and massacre have been continued in Kurdistan by AKP's war concept. The state has continued its lawlessness with political genocidal operations in Turkey. After arresting of the academics, the state took nine lawyers into custody. The court imposes "confidentiality order" on their files. Libertarian Lawyers' Association (ÖHD) Istanbul co-chair Banu Güveren emplasized that the pressure, which has been imposed, is lawless. She said that they will continue to defend their colleague against the lawlessness.

Banu said, "We know that is a political operation." And she reminded the words of President Erdoğan. Erdoğan said, "They will be unable to enter to the courthouse. You will be on our side or you will be arrested."

"This is continuation of political genocidal operations. That is an operation to silence the lawyers, others and opponent and leave the people defenseless. We have experienced these scenarios before. We know these scenarios are not the solution. They know that they cannot bring the lawyers of the community and other groups to heel by imposing pressure. We are with our colleagues. We won't leave them alone as before." said Banu.
