Cemile Ergün (80) and Ahmet Ergün (87) had to leave their home in Sur on the 90th day of martial law under the name of "curfew". They had to go to Bağlar, where is the second cheaper district of Diyarbakır. 24-hour curfew was declared in the Bağlar. State forces have attacked the town for few days. The couple doesn't know where they can go. Ahmet said that a person gave them a home in Bağlar after they left Sur. Their neighbours in Bağlar gave them one carpet, two beds and two blankets. The home, which they live in now, is empty.

Martial law under the name of "curfew" was declared in the Sur district of Diyarbakır on December 2, 2015. Thousands of people were internally replaced due to the ongoing siege and onslaught in the town. Many families started to live with their relatives while some had to rent home in Bağlar. The attacks began in the Bağlar on March 14 under the curfew. The people, who were replaced from Sur to Bağlar, don't where they can go. Cemile Ergün (80) and Ahmet Ergün (87) had to leave their home in Sur on the 90th day of siege. They rented a home in Bağlar where is the second cheaper district. However, the attacks began near their home. The couple doesn't know what they can do. Ahmet said that they hadn't left their home until a mortar fire struke their home in Sur. Then they had to leave their home.

"Before, Sur was very beautiful district. Yes, there were treches there, but the people there didn't damage us. On the contrary, we felt safe there. Then the state's attacks began. They bombed everywhere. My home is a historic house. I had lived there for 80 years. I didn't want to leave it. We had to leave it on the 90th day of the siege. If we hadn't left, we would die. My wife is paralytic. I called the 155 (helpline in Turkey). I told them that I and my paralytic wife had been stucked in our home and save us. They told us "We cannot come to there. We cannot save you due to clashes. Come towards to Saray Gate, we will evacute you from there." I am 87 years old and my wife is paralytic. At the end, I took my wife with wheelchair to the place."

After getting out from Sur, a person gave them a home in Bağlar. Ahmet said that their neighbours in Bağlar gave them one carpet, two beds and two blankets. The home, which they live in now, is empty… Ahmet said that they left their home in Sur without taking anything except their clothes on them. And he stated that he has worn the same clothes for 109 days. The couple is still dreaming to return their home in Sur. "We grew up in the neighborhoods of Sur. A Christian woman named Cemile sold us the home. We have lived in the home for years. We will never dispense with out home," said Ahmet.

Ahmet, whose eyes filled with tears from time to time, stated that they have been strucked with consternation against the attacks. "We had to leave our home in Sur. We moved to Bağlar. The attacks began here, too. I really don't know where I can take my wife. There are so much pain, death and displaced people. That's enough. I did military service, too. But I didn't do like this. We fought against injustice. We didn't kill and aggrieve the civilians." said Ahmet.

Cemile Ergün could hardly talk. She could only said, "We heard the sound of bombs everyday. We hardly came to here. Now, they have attacked here. I don't know what we can do or where we can go. Someone must stop this war."
