COLEMERG - State force attacked to Newroz celebration in Hakkari which was banned by the local government.

The Governor of Hakkari made an statement on prohibition of Newroz Celebration in the city center, people wanted to celebrate Newroz in their neighborhoods.State forces used rubber bullets, tear gas and cannon water to attack the crowd, including the HDP(People’s Democratic Party) Van MP Nadir Yıldırım, in Menderes Neighborhood.During , five employees of Feqiye Teyran Culture and Art Center were taken into custody.

State forces have blockaded the neighborhood after dispeling the crowd.
