SHENGAL - Shengal Women Unite (YJŞ)'s flag was determined after a conference was held by Shengal Women's Union. The YJŞ's flag has waved on Shengal Mountains since March 8. The YJŞ commander Sorxwîn Şengal stated that Êzidxan women's army will expand and she give her word to liberate the captived women.

First Shengal Women Unite (YJŞ) conference was held on February 13-14 on Shengal Mountains. Shengal Women Unite (YJŞ)'s flag was determined in this conference. The YJŞ commander Sorxwîn Şengal stated that the YJŞ's flag have waved on Shengal Mountains since March 8 and she said, "The YBŞ (Shengal Resistance Units) forces were founded after 73 rd edict. Women slowly join the movement. We hold our conference. We needed this conference. As Êzidî women, we will build our defense in all areas. Particularly, we will expand our organization in the military field.

Sorxwîn Şengal said they talked very important issues at the conference. "We talked many issues at the conference. Then, we determined YJŞ's flag and color. We waved our colored flag on March 8 with the slogan of "Jin Jiyan Azadi" (Women, life, freedom). We joined March 8 activities after waving our flag."

Sorxwîn said that the colors of flag are yellow, red and green. "We will continue to fight for the freedom of women and Rêber Apo (refer to Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of PKK). Meanwhile, As Êzidxan women's army, we will expand and we will liberate the captive women. We give our word to all women."
