‘We call on everyone to solidarity with Kurdish people’

AMED – Academics, who started a petition for peace in Ankara, came to solidarity with people who have been badly affected by war and they called on everyone to solidarity with Kurdish people. Hazal Başköy is one of them. “We call on everyone to solidarity with Kurdish people and support the aid campaign which is organized by Rojava Solidarity and Aid Association.” said Hazal.
Academics, who started a petition for people in Ankara, came from Ankara to Diyarbakır to be solidarity with people whose houses have been demolished and burned. Merve Fidan is one of these academics. Merve called on everyone to solidarity with Kurdish people by saying, “We came to here as academics from Ankara. We looked for what we can do to act with solidarity with Kurdish people. We came to Sümerpark to help people by packaging the dry food for Cizre people. We call on everybody to be part of the solidarity. We are trying to support this solidarity from Ankara, Istanbul and Diyarbakır.”
Aid campaign of Rojava Solidarity and Aid Association
Hazal Başköy said they came to Diyarbakır to act with solidarity with people in Cizre and Sur where a war has been carried. Hazal said, “We, as academics who signed for the peace, are in Diyarbakır today. Rojava Solidarity and Aid Association started an aid campaign for the families, who have suffered from the war for two years. The aid efforts have been become intense in the last four months. People have sent dry foods, clothes and some materials for shelter to the Help warehouse. The Association gives these materials to the people who need them. We are here to help them. We call on everyone to be part of this solidarity. There are many families whose houses have been demolished and burned. The people need support. So, we call on everybody to solidarity with Rojava Solidarity and Aid Association.”
