ŞIRNEX - Cizre women, whose houses have been burned and demolished and belongings have been pillaged, have strengthened the resistance and solidarity. The women said, "All these are temporary". Women have got ready to rebuild the Cizre district of Şırnak.
As days have passed since 24-hour curfew was lifted in the Cizre district of Şırnak, the people have rebuilt their life by being in solidarity with each other. Houses have been demolished and the belongings in the houses have been pillaged in the Cudi, Sur, Nur and Yafes neighborhoods. The people have begun to rebuild their houses which they had built in very difficult conditions.
Emine Gers is a woman whose home has been demolished. Emine said, "We had to leave our home and our neighborhood due to the war which was conducted by state during the curfew. When we returned, we found our home totally demolished. There weren't any of our belongings. The worst thing is that a massacre was conducted in our neighborhood. We will never forget these. We will rebuild our house in solidarity. That house may be destroyed, but our solidarity hasn't been destroyed."
Fevziye Teker is another woman in Cizre. She said, "I don't understand the people in this country. They killed people and they entered our homes but no one spoke. But they have talked about a photo which was taken in a bedroom of a house. The react when someone enters their bedroom. The people were burned in Cizre. The people asked for water in basements. Then, women's naked bodies were exhibited. No one spoke about these. They did all these for "The Turkish nation". Everyone kept silence for Cizre. Now, they are reacting to a photo taken in bedroom."
Halime Akmeşe's home has been totally demolished. Halime said that they had to leave their neighborhood on the 15th day of curfew. Halime said, "Of course, these days will pass. Everything's account will be asked. We are strong women. They evacuated our villages 20 years ago. They burned our homes. The day isn't the day to cry. The solidarity and hope will heal us. They massacred the people here. These people were the real owner of these lands."
Nahide Eren's house, meanwhile, has been totally demolished. She said, "My house has been totally demolished. All these are temporary. I have already begun to rebuild my home. Our villages were bombarded many years ago. But we weren't annihilated and we won't be annihilated. I will rebuild my house myself. I will buy new stuff. I wish the people, who were killed, can come back like houses."
