19 students arrested in Ankara University

ANKARA – Police, who entered to the Cebeci Campus of Ankara University, detained 19 students who had exams by threatening the academics. According to reports, some students, who were sympathizers of Daesh, attacked the students by using knives and saying allahuekber.
Police raided once more the Cebeci Campus of Ankara University. Although, there weren’t any actions and activities due to exam period, plainclothes police entered to the Campus. Police raided the Faculty of Communication and detained two students named Jale Şule Tunç and Mücahit Altun.
After hundreds of police entered the university, a group of fascist-racist students gathered at the Faculty of Law and began to shout slogans. According to reports, these students were sympathizers of Daesh and they attacked the students in the Faculty of Communication by using knives and saying allahuekber. Meanwhile, the police entered to the Faculty of Communication and Faculty of Political Science and they tore the posters there.
The police detained all students who reacted to them. The police also threatened the academics by saying, “Evacuate here or we will arrest you.” 19 students have been detained. Racist group is still waiting in front of the Faculty of Law by carrying knives. However, the police haven’t intervened to them. Two academics were battered by police. The exams were canceled in the university.
