MÊRDÎN – As 24-hour curfew has continued in the Nusaybin district of Mardin, state forces have forced the people to leave their homes by using weapons.
Martial law under the name of “curfew” has entered in the 18th day in the Nusaybin district of Mardin. State forces have attacked the neighborhoods for days by using mortar, bombs and howitzer. The Civil Protection Units (YPS) have turned the attacks with resistance.
Meanwhile, state forces cannot enter the neighborhoods so they have begun to force people to leave their homes. Hasan Yıldırım (70) said, “If I die, I will die in my home.” And he stayed at his home in Çağçağ Avenue. Special forces raided his home and his neighbors’ homes. They entered the houses by breaking the doors of the people’s houses. Special forces took the citizens to an gym on İpek Avenue.
Genocidal attacks have continued in the center of Şırnak for 17 days. State forces bombed the Yeni, Dicle, Cumhuriyet, İsmetpaşa and Bahçelievler neighborhoods last night. The citizens, who want to leave the villages and towns near Şırnak city’s center, have to take permission from police station. The citizens can leave their villages and towns with a “special permission”. The citizens also need to take permission to return their homes.
