ÊLIH - Female political prisoners, who have jailed in Batman M Type Prison, sent a letter and they stated in the letter that arbitrary and immoral practices have been imposed in the prisons of Kurdistan and Turkey.
As the pressure and arbitrary practices have been imposed, female prisoners in Batman M Type Prison sent a letter about the pressure. Female prisoners pointed out that the total destruction and war, which have been imposed on Kurdish people, have reflected in the prisons. They also stated that female prisoners have been exposed to arbitrary and immoral practices. The letter reads;
"As PAJK (Kurdistan Women's Liberation Party prisoners, we have been exposed to arbitrary and immoral practices. The prison authorities open investigations against us almost every day with lane reasons. Meanwhile, when we bear testimony to the office in prison, the officers say us, "We won't take your testimony, if you don't bear you testimony in Turkish." And finally, the guardians have raided our wards too often. The officers in the prison seized our newspapers and magazines by saying they will "analyze" them in the last raid on our wards. These all is an intimidation policy. However, we, as female political prisoners, will resist to the end and we will continue our struggle against this intimidation policy."
