'I will resist by passing in front of digger'

AMED - Houses in the Sur district of Diyarbakır are wanted to be demolished by being declared expropriation decision. Nazime is a resident in the town. She reacted to the decision by saying, "We resisted against the diggers of TOKİ (the division for state housing), I will resist again by passing in front of diggers and I won't allow them to demolish my house."
"Urgent expropriation" has been declared in the Sur district of Diyarbakır by cabinet decision. Sur people had to leave their homes due to siege. The decision will force the people to leave their homes again. Women say, "We will never leave our houses." in the town. One of them is 61-year-old Nazime Karadeniz. Nazime said that TOKİ tried to evict them five years ago. However, women resisted against them. "We will resist, we won't allow the state demolish our houses. I will die in this house. I won't give my house even if I die." said Nazime.
Nazime told us how 30 women resisted by passing in front of diggers of TOKİ. "We didn't allow them to demolish our houses. I didn't sell my house. However, the state again wants us to leave our houses. We will resist and we won't give our houses again. We slept under the sound of bombs, tanks and gunshot for four months. We will stand in front of that diggers."
Nazime didn't understand what it means expropriation. She asked us what it means. We told her that the state will take your houses. She said, "They take whose houses from who. If needed, I will be buried in the debris of my house when they demolish it. However, I won't leave my home. We will resist by passing in front of digger. We won't allow them to demolish our houses. The state does the same thing but it cannot buy us with its Money."
