MÊRDÎN - Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari MP Selma Irmak stated that the bodies of killed people in Yüksekova cannot be recognized and the savagery will be increased if silence of public opinion has continued. She said, "We must say enough,"
State forces' genocidal attacks have continued on the 24th day in the Yüksekova (Kurdish name: Gever) of Hakkari. The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari MP Selma Irmak evaluated 24 days. Selma stated that most dead bodies, which were taken to Erzurum Forensic Medicine Institution, cannot be recognized and identified. "10 dead bodies were brought to Erzurum Forensic Medicine Institution. There are six bodies there now and they are beyond recognition. 12 more bodies were brought to institution on Saturday. Apart from these, according to report, 14 more bodies are in Yüksekova now and they cannot be recognized. I am not sure if this information is true. As you know, Turkish Gendarmerie Special Operation (JÖH) and Police Special Operations (PÖH), called as law enforcement officers, shared a video and in the video, a killed person body was eaten by animals. We called the Hakkari Governor about this video and the Governor told us that the video is true and they took the body to hospital. We can understand that a savagery is wanted to be carried out in Yüksekova like in Cizre, Sur and İdil."
Selma said that they come across savagery in cities and districts where curfew has been imposed. "They have exhibited the same savagery in the neighborhoods where there aren't barricades and trenches. The petients cannot go to hospitals. Meanwhile, state forces have used bad language and insulted on people from armored vehicles. State forces have broken the doors of houses and they haveforced the people to leave their homes.
"This savagery can be stoped by a social response. Or another Cizre may be coming."
